Job Description
Mō te tūnga | About the opportunity
We have a number of exciting opportunities available for tertiary students who are keen to gain work experience with the Taranaki Regional Council during their summer holidays, for a duration of approx. 10-12 weeks between November 2024 and February 2025 with a brief shutdown over Christmas.
These summer roles will provide you with interesting, full-time work with various opportunities available across the following areas:
• Corporate Services – Administration & Logistics and a shared resource across Communications, Finance, People and Wellness & Transport
• Environment Quality – Science and Technology, Environmental Assurance
• Operations – Regional Gardens, Land Management, Environment Services

We are looking for passionate individuals, who are self-motivated and have an eagerness to learn!
To be eligible for these roles you must:
• Be enrolled in a Tertiary qualification;
• Have completed a minimum of one year of study;
• Be intending to return to full time study in 2026;
• Have at least a restricted driver's licence.
